Walter Campbell Grave Marker

This grave marker which is at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, located at 179 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey reveals that Walter Campbell served in the U.S. Marine Corp during Vietnam and died at the very young age of only 18.

Walter Campbell was not on the Original Wall Unit List, but this confirms his connection to Hackensack by being buried within its borders since passing and forevermore.

Walter Campbell, Campbell, being a very prominent name in Hackensack and Bergen County, would have just been old enough at 18, to have joined the service in 1964 during the Vietnam conflict.

How he passed away at the present time is unknown. If we find out, we will add information.

Another note is that there is a Wallace Campbell, who also graduated in 1964 and served in the Army, but I do not know if they are related at the present time.

Your grave marker confirms your service for which we are grateful.
